it's proper doing my head in, especially as the 1st lot i posted came out fine & i've done nothing different :?

I've had this same issue when trying to link from Dropbox. Someone else however was able to use the exact same link and they displayed at a decent size. My fix was to use photobucket. By default once uploaded and with the link copied they displayed properly.

thanks for all the advice.

i'm not overly sure what a BB code is in all honesty?

think i'm going to open a photobucket account & use that instead of coppying links in from different locations. hopefully that will solve my issues.

i think you can set the automatic resize in photobucket when you upload to a safe size, say 800px wide max. Photobucket is changing so i have no idea how this will affect things.

BB code is Bulletin Board Code, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBCode

I used to use Picasa, but Google seem to have assimilated it into their Plus services and it is now pants, can't see how to share photo links on it.

Same deal with me Jon. Working fine last week and all of a sudden it changed and I've got no idea how to link a pic. I'm running out of options as my machine doesn't work with Photobucket, Flickr and now Picasa

im still on the old version of PB and can still generate links, they are supposed to be fixing the new version to do the same but i cant see it yet. I spend an hour trying to find how to link images and gave up. They are shooting themselves in the foot with this one.
