Ok so money no object what would your ideal bay setup be? Red9 front n rear, air cooled, watercooled, airbags, full leather interior, full restoration as it was in the day? What's the ideal bay??

An earlybay version of the 'bus taxi' for starters, but with a ratty panel.
Mine restored to it's former glory.
How many can I have?

Got my ideal bay now! But it has took 5 1/2 years to build

Fully restored 1970 Californian westy, slammed with a 6" king & link pin beam, notched, soon to be tubbed. Just need to fit my twin 48 fed 2110 motor and beefed up gearbox.

Of course money no object this would have been done in 5 months, not 5 years.

Not a bay :msn4:

Not sure really, probably a scruffy one but top mechanicals and one that is as close to original as poss.

Open a factory that makes steering boxes! :)

Or try to buy the one off the person on here who has the shiney new one in a box! (I think its Dirty Harry)

A nice warm dry garage that can take up to 5 types 2's with hydraulic ramps and all the tools I could possibly want - followed by early retirement and a bung aside to take on and execute any number of projects in my spare time..........aaah BLISS ;) .

Mint razor edge with big motor lowered, air ride or fluid displacement, with mint retro caravan to pull behind.

When I look back at how much I have spent on the van in the last 3 years and how easily I spend 200 on this or that it sometimes feels as if money is no object when it comes to my van.

But if I had money to burn I would build something super fast, that would stop and go like a modern car, but look completely stock from the outside. Interior wise I would have a craftsman redesign and rebuild the entire interior space with the finest materials.

Give my bus a bare metal refresh, new interior with a nice engine and then go out and buy a 356 coupe and enjoy

Gotta love some of the replies lol. Think money no object I'd like everything looking stock an patina paint on outside, top spec leather interior with a modern look rear camping setup with good heating  and would have the best chassis/suspension setup coupled to a 911 or scooby engine that is out there. An my ugly duckling defo deserves it lol. Oh to win the lotto!
