Went to pick my bus up today. But iI had some BAD news.
When he first quoted me He around 180 hr to 210 hr @ £30 plus paint and bits £1000 and the vat = around £8700 i was happy with that because i know he does a good job. Heres the bad news he said his chaps have spent 435 hours on it and the price has gone up, You work it out
He said it was all the extra work i wanted done on it eg headlining fitted and to have it wax oiled.  Not a hapy bunny.

Could you not ask him to knock it down a little bit, thats alot of extra hours without being told

so hes done over 200 hours @ £30 hr, on top of what he quoted, without letting you know?????

Name and shame!

If he does not knock the price down suggest the Small Claims Court and all the publicity the VW community can muster. Hope the bus is what you hoped for though and that this does not spoil your enjoyment.

make sure he can give you a detailed breakdown of this extra work, to justify his claim

My wife and I have just come back from there. My wife can get a bit scary when she not happy  .
He agreed he should have told us he went over the agreed amount of hours. So we have ended up paying £9000 in the end.
I surpose it could have been worse. :?

The bus will be home on wednesday
So as soon as i get it back togather I will put some pics up.
This is the last photo i took of her.
