I've decided to start a new thread on my current bus, as clanging everything on to the End of the other thread could be a bit confusing??,!

Anyway, for anyone who's not up to date, I had this,

Unfortunately due to a money wobble it went the journey

Enter this,

For a little while at least :lol:

Then

First it went to Classic Campers for some mechanical work including getting it running & driving almost MOT ready

Then I clean up the wheel arches

And painted the wheels & fitted the new White bands.

Next it was over to Restore & More for welding.

Unfortunately whilst it was in for welding the engine decided to dump its oil & stop working!!

Bent pushrod indicates stuck valves!??

So I took the engine out.

All valves loosened off, pushrods changed, new pushrod tubes & all gaskets.

Getting there, slowly with the engine as I'm not a mechanic, classic campers , will be coming down to help me fit the engine & check my work over though!!

Started cleaning the rats nest, spiders nests & termites nests!!

Painted the new battery tray.

Floor is cleaning up canny.

I thought it was rotted behind one of the opening 1/4 lights, but it was just the 1/4 light frame, hopefully I have a spare one upstairs!??

Screen surrounds looks rotten but it's actually cleaning up quite well !!!!!

That's where I'm upto so far !

Looks like a pretty solid bus you have there. The work your doing will make it very nice.

Thanks chaps, not sure what to do with it paint wise as there is quite a lot of original paint left on it, but almost every panel will need a repair of some sort!!! :?
So might not be worth saving??
Maybe easier just to go for a full paint???

Engine in this afternoon?????

Well I've recharged the battery all day, put it on & started it up!!!
It ran, briefly, so I tried agsin &,,,,,,,,









Nowt! :?

No ignition lights, no attempt to start no nowt!!!

So I texted Tuor Rose off of on here, & he threatened to actually kill me!! :shock:

Anyhow he says he'll come n have a look to see if he can work out what I did wrong!!

So to punish myself I've made a start on the body work!

Still not sure if I'm going down the patina look highway!!
Or shiny street yet!?!.,!?!!

If previous track record is owt to go by, I think I can see what's going to happen!! :lol:
