To be honest it looks awesome, she's gone for the same colour as my previous bus 17 years ago !!
More pics after weekend as I'm away at work tomoz !!
Then you will see the other colour blended in!!

Lilac yes mate!!

Waiting for a navy roof, bumpers n other bits!! Then a nice navy leather interior
With lilac piping an stitch

Mad busy spending hundreds of quid on German parts!!
Any ideas where best place to get good quality cab door window seals n scrapers?

Lilac n navy    !!!!
You'll not loose that on a show ground  :D

I think, mine were from schofields, the welder/panel beater/fitter put them in for me this week.
He didn't swear TOO much, so they must have been quite easy ??
They look a canny fit too, but not a shiney chrome finish like the old ones though!?!

Being self employed does help as I've booked all this week to crack on with Daisy!!

All underbody been rubber guarded today! Wot a horrid job

New screws arrived in post from eBay!! Definately recommend the seller as these are fully labelled in seperate bags!!
On with fitting doors & seals
New bearings, discs an pads to front
New bearings pads & drums to rear
Alloy wheels temp fitted to see what she looks like!!
Might just run her for a while then decide wether to lower her!!

My fully refurbished engine back where it belongs!!
Thought it was going to be a nightmare but turned out really easy!!
Started first turn of key as a bonus!!!

Problems with wiring holds me up a day as everything had been stripped prior to purchasing!!
Thanks to samba.com for colour coordinated drawings to make it straight forward,
However I have main ignition connector getting quite hot, wipers start then stop working and hazards blowing fuses!!

I drove her home on Friday to her new home!!

Drove a dream !!!! A slow dream as I'm used to renault traffic sport for work!!

Spent all weekend insulating and putting all finishing bits in!!

Got the Devon pop top finished and fitted today, not like fitting those new seals!!!

My mrs n kids are wanting it done for first trip out!!!

That a South Shields reg number!!!
CU stands for Caer Urfa the roman name for South Shields.
So the van was probably first registered here & possibly supplied by York Avenue garage in Jarrow or Mill Volkswagen of Sunderland ??.?

Thanks pal it's nice to know stuff like that!!
I wouldn't of had a clue!!!
I got it from Leicester at end of march!!
