Hi Alex, Forgive the ignorance as I'm not an engine person at all however my engine is completely fooked and I'd love to have something with more power. Would this be a good engine for touring as well as the strip ? I know it's described as turnkey but is there anything else I'd need to plumb in ie exhaust etc?

Cheers in advance

Nigel

Hi Nigel

yeah i drove to norway and back with this motor and it was running cooler and behaving better than my mates 2276cc.

It is a revvy more than torquey motor though so if the revs drop or you get a steep incline you maye have to shift down to 3rd.

it has an exhaust, it can come turnkey, currently it has no ignition system, I ran an electric fuel pump so you would need a fuel pump, and It has no engine brace bar. I would also almost insist you run an external filter and cooler with fan which is not included. and thats about it. It has seen it's fair share of use but has never let me down to be honest if someone offered to buy a kidney I'd prefer to sell that than this engine.

My number is 07773 374 575 if you need it.

I'll be open to offers for a week then will make my mind up.

I've had 2 offers already.

Cheers

Alex

Replied!

Don't mean to mess people about but am thinking the fairest thing for all concerned is to put it on ebay had four offers so far.

Its on Ebay:

Seemed the fairest way for all concerned!

I know the guy that built this engine, he also built mine, and it is solid as a rock!

difficult to say as have never had it on a rolling road, Guess of between 100 and 115BHP, ran a 16.7 in my microbus which for a little engine is impressive, it out performs lots of larger engines:

One of them is me, so technically you only have 66 who might buy it!

Good luck man, its a lovely motor.

 as long as not everyone is watching for ***** and giggles I shall be ok
