Met some nice folks at Stanford Hall yesterday, none more so that the chap who was interested in the linkage on my twin Kadrons.

Fast forward about 20 miles up the M1 and a sudden loss of power. Yes, the linkage had come adrift from the carb.

That will teach me to let a stranger stick his mitt in where he shouldn't.

Lesson well and truly learned.

Otherwise it was a brilliant day. :D

Was it foul play or stupidity?

I don't suspect foul play, the guy seemed very genuine, more like stupidity on my part for not checking it over immediately.

I am going to hang big signs next time saying 'DON'T TOUCH' (or words to that effect) :D .

Back in my motocross days I let a bloke adjust the chain on my bike... Cue one snapped chain, one smashed crankcase, and one knackered gearbox. Never saw the bastard again, and that chain was fine beforehand.

Now I'm funny about anyone touching my cars jubblybits, even the MOT man (who broke my handbrake last week!)

Ah, well...
