Quick question, is a 065 battery ok for a 1776 engine? Or is a bigger battery just overkill?

I'm also looking for a security isolator switch to go with the new battery, any recommendations?

when i first bought my old girl 9years ago she would always have trouble starting especially after she sat, had to jump start more often than not at home.

finally got it down to the battery went to a local battery importer and he asked what CCA i wanted (cold cranking amps) after some net research decide 500cca was minimal for a 35year old 1600tp it was as cheap to buy a 550cca, when i actually pulled the old one out and cleaned it to look what it was it was only 400 not had a problem since.

have a look for a CCA calculator or contact Multicell, ([email protected]) it's where i tend to get batteries from they have outlets all over and are really helpful

I have the discarnect? Isolator, easy to fit and under £10. I use it mainly to stop current drain when not in use. A bit of security but if someone wanted it it wouldn't stop em.
