The seals on my California bus have seen far to much sun over the last 44 yrs! Garage did the 6 main window seals and new deluxe trim for me and I have the door/lid seals on my job list.

Is it just a case of ordering new one's, digging out what remains of the now solid orig one's then gluing in the new? Any tips on where to get the new seals from and what glue to use?

Cheers for advice
Craig

Hi Craig

I would buy the better quality German seals as they are a much superior fit, most of it wont need to be glued, just the section on the curve.

In theory, most of them won't need any gluing.
In fact, I doubt it is a requirement for any of them.

However, I did use a dab of glue on my tailgate seal as it was pulling away by one of the hinges. I used a pretty weak glue and the seal seems to have settled in nicely.

The lack of glue should make extracting your existing seals a bit easier too. Use a flat-blade screwdriver wrapped in a cloth so that you don't damage any paintwork.
