Hello all, I am new to this forum. I have had a 69 bay window (tetly) for about 16 years, it has been off the road for about 2 years but I plan to get it back on the road this year. My current seats are out of a maestro and have seen better days, I would like to find some replacements, but I am not sure what would fit best, can anyone advise me as to what seats to use ? Many thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

IMO original seats are the best, however Ive also had Saab 900 seats which are easy to fit but a little too high. I understand that Porche seats fit well but haven't had these myself.

Put some pics up of your bus..... we all like pics :D :D

Hello !
If you're not going with original seats, Recaro's are a good fit, nice and low bases on them. Got mine off eBay, £25! they're the same as Mychas on page 10-12 here..

Also, a pal has got Newton Commercial seats in his bay and is dead pleased with them, they look good

Thanks for that. I will put some pictures of mine on when I have worked out how to do it. Thanks again.

Ok Dave thanks for your help. My name is Paul I am a dub addict too. I have spent the last 3 days welding up my bus.

Porsche 911/924/944 seats are great, in looks and comfort, and being from a sports car they sit you nice & low, 80's ones are best without the electrics etc. I've bought two sets of 911 seats, £49.00 & £65.00, one I had reupholstered one didn't need it.

I have also had 4 sets of Saab 9000 leathers in the past in Bays, very comfy but sit you up too high in the cab, and don't look as easy on he eye as Porsche seats.
