I've just fitted horse shoe plates. I was a spline down and wanted to go a tad lower, so I put the spring plate back up and then fitted the plates and now i'm about an inch and a bit lower than before which is just what I wanted. You can of course lower it further by combining spline(S) drop and horse shoe plates, depends how low you want to go!
