Hi All,

Just sold my long time vehicle (Triumph GT6 mkII) on fleabay and will soon be hunting about for an early bay in the next month or so - thought I'd sign up and say hi!

Any advise/info then feel free to send my way, my triumph was custom built and completely restored with zero rust/rot - thinking for the cash I'll have (between £8K - £10K) I may have to set my sights lower and look for a sound bus rather than restored?

Thanks,

Larry

Hello mate and welcome 8) Feel free to ask any questions and dont forget to have a look in the for sale section on here as there are some top buses for sale, and we have some members who are the best in the business for selling you a quality earlybay.

Any problems or questions, just shout! ;) 8)

Welcome to the site Lard , Best advice i can offer is decide what sort of bus you want , Pop Top , Tin Top , LHD or RHD etc etc set a budget and stick to it , Good luck matey 8) 8)

Welcome

Look at plenty of vans, lots that look good but when you get underneath lots of surprises.

I would go for a dry state import and waxoyl the hell out of it before it goes on uk roads.

Good luck with your hunt.

Ian

Hi Larry,

welcome to EB, like the guys say you have a decent wedge to start so that should get you a very good bus. The bay market seems to buck the trend and holds up well, check the forsale section or the banner ads as we have several traders who im sure would offer impartial advice to help get the right bus for you.

Thanks for the welcome and tips - my brother is currently getting a bus through midland early bay and has nothing but good things to say so will give them a shout when my car has been picked up and the crisp cash is in my hand :)

I'm busy browsing the forums as I've got 2 kids and 1 on the way in July - so will need to have two forward facing seats and a baby seat to somehow fit in the van - like the 3/4 westfalia type interiors but need to work out seat belts e.t.c. .... off to use the search function!

Welcome Lard - my advice is to buy everyting you can from here if you can as this is a really good forum for picking things up - dont buy a van off fleabay (IMHO) and enjoy!!
