Hi all

Does anyone know where I can buy a new windscreen to fit my 71 bay? Having windows out shortly for a new head lining and looking at the screen its pebble dashed and scratched to death.

Cheers
Craig

Its been asked plenty of times but i would advise calling a few local company's and see how much they would charge supply and fit. I had mine supplied and fitted for about £100, this was a pilkington glass screen and i supplied the good quality rubber. If you weigh this up against a VWHeritage screen which was about £130 at the time and i had to fit it its a no brainer.

Cheers guys.... Will look up a couple of local companies to see if I can get one from them!

It's worth mentioning for those with uk buses with original toughened screens you will probably find your recovery company won't help you if your unfortunate to have a shattered screen whilst on a journey. A friend had his screen shatter on NYE last year only to be refused a tow home. He kicked out the glass and drove home in the wind and rain. I guess laminated screens as found on US imports will more than likely crack but not leave you stranded.......

Windscreens really are a piece of p1ss to fit, after spending over an hour on one rear window, my screen was in in under 5 minutes.

If you can find a second hand one under £50 fit yourself, if not pay autoglass etc

Assuming your bus has never has an A pillar repair, in which case, it had best be spot on or could cause grief.... Just look at Scott Westy with his bus

Sorted on the replacement screen. Chap who is removing the windows before it gets the new headlining is ordering one in at £120. Doesn't seem too bad ....

Cheers
