Ok, One of my customers has had to return to America & is not coming back any time soon. He has asked me to sell his Bug for him which I am happy to do for free.
It is a 1971 1302s so has the disc brakes up front & the high ratio box. It cruzes great & is very quiet & smooth.
I have just done a top end rebuild with new 1600 barrels & piston, all new gaskets & seals. It runs great & doesn't drop any oil at all. There is a brand new carb on there & it was just serviced. It has a 009 dizzy & a twin quiet pack exhaust which is nice & mellow so won't annoy anyone. It starts first time with no fuss. I have driven hundreds of VW's in my time & for a stock engine, this really does fly!
It was MOT'd in April but not driven since. It is tax exempt. The main guts of the car is solid, it has had welding in the past as most UK cars have. There is a nice Recaro interior & brand new fitted carpets.
It is lowered on alloys which could be re-polished to a mirror shine again. All the tyres are good, & wheels have locking bolts. There is come paint cracking on the bonnet, but looks down to prep & not rust. The bottom of the wings have some surface rust too. All this is reflected in the price.
The owner has spent over £2500 on this car to get it all up together including £800 just before he had to leave. In fact he didn't get change to drive it before he left! It is a real shame he had to leave because he really loved this car. His misfortune will be someone elses gain.
I need a very quick sale as it is parked at my house & I need the space. It needs to go this week if possible.
