I keep seeing threads saying that lowering an early bay on just adjusters is dangerous below a certain point...

How low can you go before it gets dangerous, what exactly is the danger, and can it be fixed with dropped spindles?

Cheers,
Ollie

from what im told 4" is the max before your putting to much strain on the ball joints

although mine was a good 6" with now probs

Was gonna say, mine is more than that... But I don't wanna tempt fate... Oh bugger! :?

So will dropped spindles make everything okay then? :?:

Also, is it a case of someone who knows someone that its happened to, or has it actually broken on someones bus on here from being too low? :?:

i think gadget saw a mates bus go bad

my new bus will be 2-3" on adjusters and then 2.5" spindles

not taking any risk with the nipper on board

my old bus was professsionally done, but upon reading thing recently i dont want to take any risks

My thoughts exactly.

Dropped spindles are ordered, but Nate says I'll not get them til the new year.

Yeah I saw it, but thought I couldn't afford it... Then I spoke to my girlfriend and we decided to get the bus driving right before we put the big motor in... But then it was too late and you'd already put the order in.

£310 delivered is still bloody good though! 8)

Should be about £55.
I'll be happy if the lot comes in at under £400 as coolair's spindles alone are £400 and I'm getting U-plates too.

Just a quick one slammed whats the rear drop on the boomerang plates? bone idle i know not looking on line....

I've been thinking about this too - I've been hearing some real horror stories of late and am also not wanting to take any risks with bambino on board - thing is, mine's a '71 - any idea on getting dropped spindles for disc braked vans?
