Now That's What I Call Modified....

If you've seen this before you'll surely remember it. I was browsing on the VWT2OC site and found this article on the 1995 Van of the Year. The modifications listed are pure Heath Robinson (double-glazed screen, 4 shock front axle, hot-water system, internal carb turbo intake for high altitude!! etc) and the sheer scale of the guy's travels is awesome. Big respect to Arthur. Anyone know if he's still around or what happened to the bus since 1995?

What a story!
I've just looked his details up on the DVLA website - the road tax for this vehicle expires at the end of April 2007 - so it must still be on the road...

Yeah there's some stuff over on The Samba as well. All a bit humbling really, I worry about two weeks in Devon in the summer and my AA cover!!
