im currently running 15 40 in my 1914, full flowed, remote filter.

with this cold snap my remote filter decided to blow its seal with the oil being so thick on start up, i wasnt reving the nuts off it either. im told my oil pressure is REALLY good, and i should change to 10 40 for the winter, as well as getting rid of the rubbish golf filter and replace it with a fram HP1

any thought from the engine gurus out there

Fram are the king of filters, plus the bright orange HP1 looks cool  As for oil, you can't go wrong with straight 30 in my opinion thats what i run in mine all year.

finally got round to having a look, discovered im running 20 50 from my summer oil change, that wont have helped when the weather was 0 degrees on start up. Gonna change to a lighter oil and put on a new HP1 when i finish work tommorow,
