We thought it was about time we started our own restoration thread (Probably would have done this sooner but photo-buckets been playing up). We have got our 1969 bus that's been named Bryan (As in Bryan Adams summer of 69) the bus has been imported from Oregon USA and here are the original pictures of the van in the States.

So if anyone is interested our van has been at Halifax VW restoration were the have done lots of work on him.

So whilst he has been with Richard and Jimmi at VW restoration in Halifax he has been rewired, his heater cables have been replaced and he has been lowered with kits from Red9 design and creative engineering. His 1600 engine was more than bit poorly so out it came (he passed his Mot with no advisory notes despite his engine) and its gone to a local bloke in Keighley who is restoring the engine for us.
Now that the basic mechanics have been sorted he has gone for a fresh paint job as Sutcliffe Auto sprayers in Clitheroe, Lancashire.

Here are the photos of him going off on his travels into deepest darkest Lancashire.

looks like a nice van, are you replacing the sink unit with something - or keeping the beanbag :D
The bean bag will be staying for this summer and then we are booked in at all Things Timber in York in August for a new interior

This arrived a couple of days ago, very excited, Now we have to build it up

Looking good but planning on running mine as the last 43 years of nature intended, at least for awhile. Keep up the good work
