You seem to be more concerned about what others might think than what you really want yourself.

For what it is worth, I can appreciate both a nice patina or a nice fresh coat of paint. Sadly I would suggest that your bus looks like it it either half prepped for a paint job (which it is of course) or that it is a poor attempt at a false patina finish (which it isn't but others, less informed, might think it is). Either way, it is neither one thing or the other, which is such a pity.

Personally I would now whack a new coat of paint on. But it is what you think that counts. Stick with your own convictions.

That's some HEAVY patina!!!
Your either goin really ratty rat look or just paint it??

I think it's a bit far gone to be saved myself like!!!!

But of course it's up to you, I changed my mind 3 times before I was done!!!

Hazard a guess but I think you may have gone too far to turn back now

I like patina but its a fine line between good looking original and badly faked.

If you've uncovered primer then you might want to cover it back up because most primers are porous.

Agree with the above - think it needs some paint now, but hey its your bus :msn4:

thankyou all. paint it is :D . now re the paint.we know whats under it! do I just flat the top primer down for the new paint? thanks again.

you need to reprime all of it with etch then 2k primer then paint it may even need a sealer coat before you prime looking at the different layers of paint i would seal it first with barcoat it is awater based paint when dry primer it and try not to rub through the primer into the barcoat if its just a small bit re primer good luck
