Hi Yall

i can get 6mm and 9mm 8x4 sheets from my local supplier so how many sheets do i need in total
Madmatz do a full floor sheet 9mm thick made like a jigsaw you just glue it together for £60 has anyone used one ?????

Have you got a link to that? I'm probably not looking hard enough but I can't find it.

There's a picture of it on Madmatz wesite, click on Vinyl Floors, Vinyl Sheets, bottom of the page click on Thermolay Insulation, you can see a picture of the floor but there is no info on the website so just give them a call
Im going to order one and pick it up from Busfest in September

im no expert pal, but i got a 12mm top board and just used some old off cuts from a pallet underneath to prevent any bowing when walking on it... not had a problem. just make sure you treat the wood or use marine stuff so it doesnt start rotting out

It doesn't matter all that much. It should really be 6mm then 9mm, I used 6mm offcuts for £8 that worked fine. Whatever you do, make sure it's water resistant- either by buying good quality stuff or by treating it. Think mine got about 4 thick coats of paint each (in various colours).

I used 6mm to fill the lower part of the floor and then some bubble foil insulation topped with another layer of 6mm ply then some vinyl floor. Seems sturdy enough to me! I don't have anything screwed to the floor though.

Looking at doing this on mine, was gonna fit sound proofing first then 10mm ply, figuring the soundproofing is soft and would take out the undulating floor, and 10mm cos thats the size of 'spacer' my bluebird bed needs to fit properly...,
