Polished + Black Anodised Billet Aluminium Handbrake pulls

Have a look in the handle where it meets the other bit of the handbrake bar and you will see a little hole that contains a small cylinder of metal (hollow pin) (its actually a rectangle piece rolled round) you will need to knock this out. Give it a quick squirt with WD40 and leave for a bit, then get a screwdriver or small metal bar, and using a hammer knock the pin out. This can then be pulled out with pliers.

Handle comes off and replace with new, then open the "pin" a bit so it will be tight on its return in the handle and knock back in. Job done, takes about 5 mins asuming the pin isnt seized in and a rude new handle is on! 8)

Thanks everyone, the roll pin should come out easy with a small steel punch, you may need to put a dolly underneath the shaft to help support it while you tap the pin, i will post the others out monday, thanks again, Mark

I quite like the idea of an anodised shifter handle, would it be possible to get one matt black anodised to match the Gene Berg and CSP shifters (I'm right in thinking they are matt right?) Would this make any difference to the price over having them polished?

Hi, i will be getting some black anodised as soon as i have chance, they have to be polished anyway to remove machining marks otherwise the anodising will look horrible, if anyone wants a black handbrake pull let me know and i will make sure i get a big enough batch anodised, thanks, Mark
