Pop top painting

I'm looking at getting my westy pop top painted and as the fibre glass is a bit patchy in places I was thinking of getting it stone chipped first before painted a bright white.

Has anyone done this before and if so any pics ? I'm just trying to envisage what it would look like ?

I just rubbed the top down filled any cracks with body filler, primered and sprayed with same paint as the top half of the van.

My Dormy roof has small spider cracks everywhere. Loads of them. I have sanded back but haven't filled or primed. What did you use please
