Okay, this may be a stupid newbie question (which if it is I apologise) but this morning, in relatively high winds, my pop top flew open whilst I was driving.

It's a Devon pop top but the roof doesn't quite sit flat on the passenger's side. I'm not sure if it's the canvas which doesn't 'fold' down properly or if the roof isn't quite straight. The latches on the interior don't catch properly, again because of the canvas, so again, I'm thinking this might be the problem.

Basically I'm asking for some advice from anyone who has had a similar problem!

Thanks.

Had the same thing happen, good air brake though. The catches do work as long as the canvas folds in properly. If you can't close it properly you could always add an extra catch or 2

Cheers - I think the extra catches option is the way forward ... it happened on the way home too :shock:

you can buy brand new catches here http://www.campershop.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've got a couple of these spare with catches:

http://www.protex.com/product/show/name/61-1750

They're the Stainless Steel locking ones, rated at 500kg each, with S/S keeper plates - usually retail at £21.53 +VAT each (catches only!) but could do a deal for less than half that - PM me if interested...

;)
