I have a rear jail bar and paid £40 for it when I bought my Bus, I'm now after 1 side one (for a side window). What would you expect to pay for it (original)?

Cheers

Jeez, this is the stand up forum
I just want to know what people pay for the full set.
Oh yeah, I am after only 1 side so it should actually be a third of the full price!!!!!!!!

just done some research and the repro ones are avaliable for £29 and the rear one for £40 which in my opinion is well cheap...i`d go for that if i were you ;)

Hi Windsurfer,
If you end up having to get two,
i`ll buy one set off you.
I have LHD Westy with wardrobe on right,
so only need one set aswell ;)
Cheers Paul

They were only fitted to one side as the spare wheel protected the other.

Steve
True, but only on micro busses, westys if im not mistaken have their spare stashed somewhere else leaving the left side window exposed.
The new ones available come in pairs so best thing to do if you have a westy is buy a pair and sell the right side to some one with a non westy who wants one ;)
I bought some for my right side of Gary (slammedresto) who wanted the left for his westy.

On an early Westy, you have a spare wheel on one side and the wardrobe unit on the other ..... or am I missing something?
:?

...they're not sided :? ....

......bought mine from JK fitted one side sold the other....so it came to about

(1/2(cost price+p&p))-(paypal costs of sale+postage)

...well actually they were a pressie so cost price was £0 which buggers up the calc and makes it -£5.......

....so very cheap really

When you buy a pair they are actually handed, if you fit them as the originals they should have four of 1 kind of bracket on 1 side and four of the other on the other side.
You can just see n this pic.

Most people fit 2 of each type on either side which works too but isnt how they were originally.
And as far as westys go , im sure ive seen one with the wheel in a cupboard so the bed opened out properly :? any westy owners who can clear this up?

Hey Clem,
I've taken the spare wheel out (it doesn't fit anyway since lowering my bus), hence why I am thinking of the side jail bar. Not authentic I know, I like them though.

Is this an M code no-no?
