My Camper (a Westy) and it has (4) snaps up on the pop top...
I've asked on TheSamba and only got as far to figure out that this is a one off (home install) :? I know that it is not OE.
One of the previous owners did it. It was done well and was defintally planned out.
What do you think those snaps might be for?
There are two holes (one each side) drilled into the rain gutter.that seem to go in-line with the pop top almost as a finishing point/brace.
I have worked up a couple theory's.
1)This bus was a Cali bus before making its trip to Alaska, back in the day..could this have had a sheet/tarp to snap on the exterior to keep it cool on the inside? Or possibly an exterior privacy curtain? (though it has one for the inside?) (would one for the outside make any sense?)
3) A sun visor/ semi-pernament shade "Eyebrow" (snaps making the pop top usable/and it removable.
