Rare

£900 Firm

I'm sure it's worth every penny - but £900!!!!

I couldn't stand to pay that much - once it's fitted and painted no-one will know anyway!

My van didn't even cost that much!

;)

If i had best part of a grand to burn, i'd buy it just to put up on the mantle!
True, it is a thing of beauty :p

I'm not sure that's true, you can't get early bay front panels anymore, and if you go for the late bay and change the indicator holes you end up with a huge seam/join (probably a tech term for this) above the bumber which looks gash

anyway, not even sure why I'm commenting, I'll shut up!

This should be bought by schofields or another good repo company and then theyve got a good original to rip copies off from. Then punt them out and keep the original. Job done. If i had the means i would have snapped this up ages ago.

im sure the panel people know this panel is for sale, it still amazes me that no one has made an early bay front panel yet. good luck with the sale.

early bays are becoming more and more sought after, perhaps as a 'group' we should approach Schofields and ask if they will make a repro panel...???

Agree - I'm sure if we could get all members (521 last count) to badger Schofields - either
individually or via a petition or something, then I'm sure they would be interesting

i agree too but how many out of the 521 need a front panel, you would have to go to schofiled with numbers and stuff, i can imagine the tooling would be well expencive , but what if the very kind berkshire bugs  were to loan the panel to said panel maker and earn a cut of the first few sold OR how about a fiberglass front panel? i can see the perfect mould on this very thread :D

Theres no need to end up with any of the tell tell signs as i just finished welding a late bay front to a early lower front panel and cutting away the crap looking lip and you would never know it was two different panels joined , also i got rid of that horrible pressed out centre bit to :) I did all this on the spot welder at work so there's no warping of the metal neither

this is a late front on mine, had a hit n run last year so replaced the whole front, lower and inner valances

think it looks fine

Apart from the 'DD' cups, you wouldn't know that it was a late front clip :D
