Just picked up a rear bench seat but having not seen one actaully fitted in (apart from pictures etc), how is the seat supposed to be fitted? How do you secure the backrest section?

Ideally can someone with a bench seat post a few pictures?

:sign0009:

On the rear bulkhead panel theres a piece (bracket) centrally located slightly higher than the level of the bench this should marry with a tongue on the rear of the backrest, hook the tongue into this bracket and rest the backrest onto the bulkhead, now at each end there should be a small right angle bracket to secure it firmly to the bus.

Arr okay, I have the bracket on the bulkhead, but no tounge or hooks on the backrest... I figured I had some bits missing

Awesome thank you for taking the time to do that Araon - helps alot, I know I am missing the brackets but I know what and where to put some new ones.. :party0047:

I dont suppose you got a shot of where the seat base attaches to the floor

I'm going back out as soon as I finish my coffee and see the last few mins of Scotland Italy, not promising but I should have a spare pair of seat brackets about somewhere.....

cant lay my hands on the bolts and anchors as yet but its a t bolt with a cast U shaped anchor...where the feck have I put them now....

8) Tanks again dude. Okay there deffiantly isnt any hooks tacked to the floor like that on my bus - theres some in the middle but the backs been welded in different places so I guess they werent tacked back in..

Might fabricate different brackets to hold it in.

Out of curiosity and to be really annoying, what does the base of your seat look like to fit into the 'hooks'?

Seriously, dont take anymore pictures if its going out of your way, just if you or anyone else has them already....... :shadey:

I dont need them straight away so if you are changing yours over for the Zbed and want to sell me your old ones (or Araon when you find your spares) please let me know :makeout:

I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that CERN are indeed trialing elements of the Large Hadron Collider in my shed whilst I'm not about, that black hole developeing in my shed may just be proving their theories correct in relation to the illusive Higgs Boson and quantum gravity.....
