The saga continues. Some of you may have read my thread a while back about rear brakes binding.
Quick update. After driving for short time rears start to bind.Very badly.
New parts fitted.
Brazilian servo.
Goodridge flexi hoses
Master cylinder.(two now fitted in 18 month`s)
Slave cylinders
Shoes
Pipe from master cylinder to T piece
After fitting 2nd master cylinder it was ok for about a week.....
This is now p***ing me off big time. Its gone on too long. :x
Have I the correct set up for the van ?.Or inherited it wrong from the PO.
What I have is,1970 panel van,drums all round,servo assisted,no rear equiliser.Is this right ?
Any more ideas welcome,cheers.
Phil.(desperate)

Servos are 71 on.....

Would that mean the master cylinder is a disk/drum type?
Also I see the OP mentioned that he had no brake bias valve - were they not fitted on early bays then?

Again, I though they were fitted along with servos...

I've driven with a faulty release valve and the rear wheels would lock up under moderate braking.

How are you adjusting the rear shoes? The proper way is to jack the back up so that both rear wheels are off the floor then apply the handbrake six clicks. Then adjust the position of the star adjusters.
