Rear inner arch tubs anyone replaced?

Hi all . has anyone replaced complete inner rear arches on there bus? , i can only find tubs for late bays :evil: .
Is it a case of buying the late ones and trimming them down to fit? :roll:

yes. view rob ellerys bus resto on http://www.vwclassics.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; think its listed as 71 resto.They are late tubs that we`ve had to modify.The other alternative was a rust free cut from south africa or australia which i can do but its not really finacially viable unless it "must be original" just fabricate the metal needed.

The guy that did the work on my '69 just fabricated what was needed - from emory the tubs are quite basic.

Late Split and Early Bay rear tubs are the same. (Ref Schofields) Got some to fit my 69. Autocraft do decent repro ones, but no experience of those panels from them
