Just filling out the V55 form ready for registration, after getting my MOT the other day (yes!)....and what a form!!

Certificate of conformity is mentioned quite alot.Contacted the DVLA and they say it's something I should have from the manufacturer......yeah ok.....from 1972 ????

Does anyone know if I need this to fill in the silly questions and I mean silly ,revenue weight, number of standing places,Euro status directive number......etc,etc.. or can I get around this ????

Cheers Mole (chomping at the bit).

Where did your van come from?

I registered mine in Feb this year, it came with the US log book , so didnt need the cert you mention.

Gadget did a great thread on what to do, if I find it I'lll post the link here.

yeah got log book etc and I just rung the vehicle certificate agency in bristol and they say because it has cooking and sleeping facilities it's exempt (for next 5 years)from type approval. So on V55 just leave blank.

I'm off to DVLA after I photocopied everthing and see what they say.

Fingers crossed.

Mole

All smiles, because it's over 10 years old(just a bit) I didn't need all the type conformity nonsense......I was only in the DVLA(Llanishen,Cardiff) for 5 minutes tops and he reckons about 5 days till I get the Reg through and she's on a K.................................................................................................................................................................................................................can't wait.................yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssss.
