can anyone recommend some options for brightening up the interior using the existing interior lights, are there brighter bulbs or led replacements available?

thanks

Hi, I used small modules of LED clusters similar to these.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5X-CAR-12V-48-SMD-WHITE-LED-INTERIOR-DOME-LIGHT-LAMP-W-T10-BA9S-FESTOON-ADAPTER-/191176019675?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c82fa8edb" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Mine are actually separate LEDs rather than the SMDs (surface mount devices) shown.
If you can solder it is quite easy & I was impressed with the results I got. (i was going to post it on here - 'til I found out than my interior lights are off a metro).

Hope this helps,

Phil.

<< whs >>>

I've used these for a couple of years. They fit inside standard OG interior lights (though only one way, unlike a standard 10w bullet lamp) and don't drain your leisure battery.

IKEA do good and cheap 12v LED strip lighting.

The festoon smd leds look good however with my non-og light they weren't an option. Here are pics as requested.

Just also installed 5m of strip lights too.

Both our interior lights use an led board like RePhil's but even came with festoon connector so fitting took two minutes - connector in the bulb holder, wedge led board in lenses, job done :)

Bigger halfords sell them though they're cheaper online if you get cheap postage

Here's a link that I got from reading Hayburner
