Hi there, I need to replace the brake master cylinder on my baywindow I've got all the new parts etc but noticed that there are no seals on the brake light switches. I just wondered if you needed to put anything on the threads to help them seal and how tight to do them up. Thanks

I didn't use anything on mine, and did them up hand tight then just a little nip with the spanner, there's probably an exact specification but not sure what it is, mine have been fine no leaks, too tight and I would of though you would crack the alloy on the cylinder?

They're a tapered thread, like the oil pressure switch I believe. They don't need any sealant but may come with a bit of red threadlock style paint on the threads anyway. Hand tight then nip up I reckon.

They would have a rubber boot over the wiring, mind you.
