We are currently having our cross over year Type 2 restored and were planning on using the opportunity to change the large rear light panel for small rear right panels. Unfortunately the restorer is having trouble locating the correct panels which were avaiLable in the past. We've tried the usual suspects without luck. Can anyone help?

Thanks

dont do it........

apart from that there easily sought from the usual suspects both repro and cuts.........

dont do it........

I'm afraid I must agree with Aaron - don't do it! although each to their own :)
however, the panels are easily available so I'm not sure why there is trouble sourcing them??. have you tried Schofields mate?

Why the reluctance to make the change guys?

Scofields only seem to do the lower half of the light whereas we need the full panel.

keep it as is ......thats the way it was born fella....some doods on here love the ol` crossover

...are you going to do the whole corner vents and all?......

....just doing the lights would be odd :? .....but hey I like Frankenstein

...you currently own a bus that is the pinnacle of VW automotive design the "Crossover"

Personally I wouldnt do it as it looks odd with the later engine lid and vents but its your bus so I would go for some imported cuts, theres some for sale on here somewhere and im sure some of the import guys can help you.

Thanks for all your comments. You'll be glad to know that I've changed my mind and having it restored as standard (apart from the EMPI 5's but I'll sure you will all allow me that indulgence!)
