I've listed my bus on eBay classifieds and I remember someone mentioning to be careful about people 'collecting' my email or something and now I'm paranoid about replying. What's that all about?
So for example I got this 'lead': s this still available for sale and what your best price get back to me with this email is because i dont check my ebay thanks
Is that suspicious or me being daft?

Also what are 'leads' are they just messages?

Thanks!

I reply to any stupid question or text, Ive sold to someone on there before who sent me a message asking what my bottom price was in 'txt spk'. I replied against my better judgement, and the next day he arrived from the other side of the country with a pile of cash, paid the asking price and drove away (abroad) and that was that.
Theres a lot of buyers who buy cheap cars for export who dont mess about with niceties, they'll lowball you and the messages are abrupt - but they can work out. Its just a case of separating them from the scammers and time wasters!

Cheers Clem.
Unfortunately this guy was one of those I'll pay paypal and get my courier to collect. Sneaks.
