they're on but the garage owners has found that the ball joints are shagged...new balls going on now. Pick up in the morning!

Nearly there dude, sham about the joints, always a pain in the arse

Picked up the van this morning....feels much better. It was like driving a boat before but the new shocks make it a lot firmer and solid. The big banging noises are gone! Still a few little knocks but nothing like before. Money well spent.

no worries scampi - it ended up being VW heritage but I did talk to the guys at machine7 as well.

here's a couple of action shots!

sorry to resurrect this but what size gas adjust shocks did you get for the rear?

not sure how you work this out? hopefully going to get new shocks this week and get the van in to have them replaced. also have a terrible knocking sound when going round corners. so want that sorted as well

Hi swartie - the gas a just shock were as below:

(AC513KG5530) 565mm / 345mm - rear only

Go to this page and it tells you all about it....

To accurately measure the shocks your meant to remove the shock and measure the difference between the shock bolts when the van is back on the ground with the wheel on....however I just measured them with the shock on....seems to have worked for me.

The shocks have made a massive difference - much better ride and no banging. I did have the ball joints done at the same time though.

no worries - I took mine to the garage to be done....it looked like hard work to me...I think the sleeves were stuck.

Not my garage...although one day.

There is a great bloke over in Huddersfield called Simon Baxter who owns his own garage. He specialises in T3's but if your bay is solid he will work on it. He's done plenty on mine and all to a great standard.
