Single carb alternatives

My current progessive has started playing up a touch, nothing major but enough to get me thinking. The carb is idling slightly high when hot despite being jetted correctly and it appears now that the choke isn't working.
Twins isn't really a viable opion at the moment and prefer the performance of my progessive over the standard Solex 34 pct 3 i used to run so are there any other single carb alternatives i could try?

Not really fella stop pissing your money away on other fixes, play with what you have save up and go for twins when your piggy banks full......

progressives can be a real pain but when set up are a deffinate step up on the solex...

True, i'm just in the middle of a spending spree at the moment and thought i'd waste some more :lol:
