When you lift the sliding door handle up the rear of the door clicks in and locks shut. Mine doesn't do this. Is it normally a worn part in the rear mechanism or do the cables that run inside the door card stretch ?

Where should I start to look to sort this ? Or should I just say F%Ck it!

Any help appreciated as always :)

Hiya tin,

My guess would be that you need a cable adjustment.

Easy to do. Just pop off the door card and the cable adjust buckles are right there.

i had the same, make shore your handle lifts all the way up mine didnt,i messed with the wires for weeks ajusting them, then realised the handle wasnt going all the way up,
got a new/second hand front auto locking unit took mine out and compared the two, there must be a small spring inside that just pokes out the back of the lock mine was gone,
put the new one in works fine now,

The white lever on the inside has to be horizontal for the outside handle to be pulled up, my lever has a habit of dropping down a tad whilst shutting.... another job 'to do'!!!!
