My mate thought me rude last night... in the pub having a chat and all of a sudden I stopped him talking. A song was being played, I knew it, couldn't remember the title and he had no idea.

It's from around the summer of '67 and includes the line...

'keep on, keep on doing whatever it is you're doing to me'

Towards the end the singer goes... Rah! Bah! a Rah Bah Bubba Keep on!

Come on - someone must know the title and artist!

If it's any consolation and this may be a bit of a tangent, I've had two songs driving me mental for as long as I can remember.

I know exactly what they are though, one's 'Fly me to the moon', the other is the theme tune children holiday morning classic 'Heidi'.

It's almost an obsessive compulsive thing, I just find myself whistling them without even knowing I'm doing it, sometimes one merges into the other before I hear myself or catch the eye of somebody looking pitifully at me again.

If I was you I wouldn't think about it to hard, it might just stick.

Thanks for that giraffeinbath, now I've got Heidi playing continuously in my head with the occasional exclamation of "Granfather!", oh blimey now Peter's turned up!

Apparently I hum a random tune when I'm eating something really yummy.

Mike F, don't think about it and it will suddenly come to you at some very inconvenient moment.

You need to revisit the scene of the crime... same drink, same bloke - it'll come to you!...

Or you could just ask the landlord what was playing on the PA?...

Male, soulful but possibly not black. Record dates from circa 1967/8, definitely August whatever year. Seems to have the same year feel as the Equals 'Baby Come back'.
