South West Ireland Campsite recommendations....

Anyone had experience of campsites around the Burren, Dingle, Ring of Kerry, Clonakilty areas? I'm going to book into Mannix point for a bit, but other than that - open to suggestions..... Don't need electrics, and the view is more important than the loos....but I need a shower...

I've been looking for good camp sites around Lahinch and down to Kilkee and I have to say they seem very thin on the ground and with very few amenities, if any one knows of any decent ones on the west coast in general can they post to here as well.

personally i would recommend a trip to Achill island on the west coast. it has a causway so no ferries to negociate its a cracking spot, beaches golf course and brilliant bars.

Not the South West but the West Coast we stayed at Nagles Campsite at Doolin right by the ferry to the Aran isles and it was great although wet and windy.

Dog & Kid friendly and a pub about 10mins walk away (Gus O'Connors) that has an Irish band on every night.

Good for getting to beaches & surf at Lahinch, Fanore and if if you are really mad Crab Island (1 mile swim to the waves)
