steering box question

is the worm in a late bay box the same as the worm in an early bay box?

not sure I have a late box that I could split and have a look....

mines shafted and was wondering if i could put the guts out of a late box in to my early box,is it a good one araon?

unknown....i was looking to see how hard it would be to convert an early to run a late box.....

got a price back today 160+vat for reconditioning my box.dident think that was to bad,just want an old box now so i dont have to have the van of the road

got a earlybay box on ebay for £18 today :mrgreen: , so ive asked the guy to post it direct to the recon place,so will hopefully have a slack free box in a week or 2.and all for less than £200wahoo cant wait,im of up to the lakes in 3 weeks so would be great to have it ready for the m6 slog.

then the idea is to get the one thats on now reconditioned and stick it on ebay for a tidy profit :mrgreen:

Mines seems fine, looking at getting a second as a spare what with the prices and if I can get a cheapy then chuck it into them...

just asked on a price for there gearboxes too if anyones interested....

also see they do power steering conversions...
