Storm Force 10 down here!!!!!!

Yep according to the met office it's gale 9 - storm force 10 severe weather for Portland this morning.

My whole house is shaking and I recon the conservatory could blow away!!

Although not something new for us it just feels worse as the wind direction is jus right so it slams straight off the sea and into the side of our house.

Anyone else getting some severe weather action this morning?

bit windy here but raining heavy!

goof job i got my jk cover on yesterday fits nicely and the roof racks help to take up the slack so its not flapping to badly!

had a look inside and no water yet so its doing its job.

just had to get the puddle off the roof where the roof racks are which resulted in me being soaked through!

better me than the van i say!

hope you all dont get blown out to sea down there.

Slammedresto - shopping in this weather....you mad? :wink: Jus' make sure you buy some real nice beer and stoke up the fire ready for your return. I'd do that if I had a fire and had some beer in

ddfrost - glad the vans nice and dry even if you did get a soaking :lol: . Luckily I have a garage as no car cover would last more than a couple of days here!! I fitted a BBQ cover yesturday (heavy duty bad boy one)...... yep it's ripped to shreds already and should be totally gone by the morning at this rate :roll:

scott wilson - yeah it's crap here too. Sometimes when you guys are getting storms and it's blown out we get some nice cheeky sessions in the sheltered spots locally. K-bay would be firing on all cyllinders today for sure but the wind's too strong really.

I had a go on one of those once.....

All I had to do was let go and the wrist leashes would bring down the kite safely to the ground. What did I do??

Well.......

Kept hold and basicallly got dragged face down for approx 50 meters accross a sports field much to the amusement of my mate!!!

Bright green jeans and jackets are really in this year!

It'a absolutely pi$$ing it down here, and the wind is like a hurricane! Guess that's the disadvantage of living on a hill on a small island, we're pretty open to the elements.
