For Sale ''FRED''
My much loved (by everybody), Bay window camper.
Its a 1972 Westfalia Deluxe, with all chrome trim in good condition.

TAX EXEMPT and 11 months MOT.

Interior;
First of all its a left hand drive, which I personally prefer, as you can follow the line on the motor way lol
still has the much sort after padded dashboard
full width, original, rock and roll bed in original westy material.
Leather front seats,,, I think they are out of a Saab and are much comfier than original camper seats.
Seatbelts fitted front and back.
There is a home made kitchen unit, with sink and cooker from a westy.
CD player
Fitted with rare Sheldon Hi-Top that offers a great amount of storage and head room. I'm over 6ft and have no trouble standing up in him. Also offers space for children to sleep in the roof.

Exterior;
Painted in original VW orange, with white bumpers, back and front. Its currently covered in vinyl stickers to resemble Fred Flintstone and certainly turns heads.
Tow Bar
Deluxe chrome trim
Now fitted with a set of EMPI 5 alloy wheels, that I only bought this month. These will only be included for the write price, otherwise ill put the ones in the pictures back on him.
Body work is solid, especially the floors and chassis!!
Twin Louvered Westy windows, again very rare to have these on both sides

Engine;
Recently been fitted with another 1600 engine as I had trouble with the engine that was in him. Starts first time and runs sweet, will sit happily at 50-60mph and is my daily drive.
Electronic ignition fitted, fully serviced.

Bad Bits;

The paint work is not the greatest in the world, and has flaked in some areas.
I had a bump some time ago on the right hand side and had to beat the panel back into place and do a touch of welding. At the moment I have just primed over the work.
The engine hatch could do with a small repair, and I have seamed to of broke the lock.. Although im sure its an easy fix.
There is rust at the bottom of the cab doors, the frames are good so you may want to patch weld them or replace skins, I have one fresh skin.
Also the battery try needs replacing. I also have this panel which will be included in the sale.

Feel free to ask me any questions you like,,, but no tyre kickers.

I really hope Fred can go to a loving home, to be loved as much as me and my mates do.
