Hi,

I just got a new set of transporterhaus dropped spindles this weekend. When I started putting them together there is a lot of slack on the bottom ball-joint as the threads don't go down far enough. When I checked the guide on the TH website the lower ball-joint looked a different shape to the top ball-joint. Which would make sense because the lower hole on the bottom of the spindle is bored out to the same shape.

Both my lower and upper ball-joints are the same though. Can anyone with TH spindles let me know if the bottom are in fact a different shape. Hard to explain but hopefully someone deciphers this explanation haha.

Just searched what a camber nut is and that's exactly whats missing thanks! Does anyone know if they're supposed to be supplied with the spindles?

Hiya Shea, I re used my existing ones, when you clean them up, don`t forget to highlight the notch with some tipex or similar as they are sometimes hard to spot when re assembled, this is what you use to set the camber before you do your wheel alignment / tracking. From memory you need to set this notch to the outside of the vehicle or facing away from each other in order to get a decent camber.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,, Beware!! :shock: :shock: :shock: Lowering can become addictive :lol: :lol: :lol:

haha tell me about it had an ez rider kit and horseshoes, kept them for 6 months before I decided to get a weedeater balljoint beam dropped spindles and adjustable springplates. I'm sure I;ll be on asking questions about k&l setups in a few months!

I ended up sending my spindles away with the bottom ball joints still in them as I couldn't get them out :( is there anywhere that sells them. Hoping gsf as they have 35% off at the moment

For the sake of a phone call and maybe coughing up for the postage, I`d give them a ring where you bought them and sent the arms back too, a little bit of customer service can go a very very long way and most of these guys are pretty good :mrgreen:

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Maybe worth a shot ? :mrgreen:

here you go..
https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/211405319/camber-nut-for-ball-joint-stub-axle-t2-68-79/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

probably other vendors sell them if heritage do.

Thanks, I managed to get a pair through the wanted section, I tried emailing transporter gays but they never got back to me and I needed a set for the weekend
