drop spindles vs dropped spindles

I have been searching here and there for any information with no result.

Most of people I can find here use dropped spindles from the likes of Transporterhaus or Type 2 Detectives, which are modified stock spindles as widely known.There is a great number of brand new drop spindles from the likes of Empi, Limebug etc

Is there any significant difference between then apart from difference in lowering and the fact that drop spindles widen the track by 1cm?
The price difference is noticeable 350 vs 595, is it worth paying more for the sake of the more expensive?

The Thaus and t2d ones flip the ball joints so you replace trailing arms aswell and get more drop but will prob have to invest in some coil overs also. there's a thread on here about it where ppl have used gaz shocks.

I think the cheaper ones are frenchslammer ones so u just replace spindles but get less drop.

I guess it depends how low u wanna go
