YESSSSSSSS :D :D :D
May I introduce our new arrival.

After months of looking, here she is.
She's a 1970 walkthrough panel imported from Belgium in 2004, the story goes she was used used over there as a promotional tool with roof mounted PA system and stickers for local businesses. The stickers for at least 5 companies remain and we can see LOADS more as ghosts in the faded paint!!!! :D
She needs a bit of work for the MOT man but the all important free tax disc is there :D
Needless to say I'm happy as a dog with two things

nice! panel vans rock :D tap it somewhat with the old lowering stick remove those bars, it will look fab.

Cool dude , saw you looking at thebeer van ,like thisone more mate ,welcome to panel vans , 8)

Oh yeah SLAM it

Cool as a cool thing on a chilly day, love it! :D :D BUT, ya gotta get rid of those FUGLY number plates when the MOT man is done  Oh yes it has to be slammed and maybe keep the roof bars, they are kind of weird and that can be a good thing..... Just my opinion you understand, s'your bus mate!

Glad you managed to find a panel, felt a bit guilty after I bought Patrick as I know you had been looking.

How much work is needed for the MOT?, would be good to have a look sometime and compare notes, I've got the codes book so if you want to let me know what the chassis plate says I'll decode it for you (date of build, original colour etc) unless you've got the book already

Just returned from having a damn good scrape and poke under the bus...........
Overall I'm happy with what I've found, the PO replaced the front arches and steps, outer sills and rear corners and the standard of his work is very good. Now she needs both rear jacking points a couple of outriggers and a repair to the crossmember behind the front beam, then I'll replace the brake and fuel lines, run through the electrics and see about booking a test :)
Then she'll get a damn good thrashing with the slammin' stick :D :D
Thanks for the offer Graham, I'll get the codes tomorrow. I was looking out for Patrick the panel at Vanfest but I missed the EB camping area in the wide eyed haze of my first show
I'm well suited with my purchase, walking aroung with a grin from ear to ear, and long may it last :D

Keep the roof bars dude just move the rear one further towards the back 8) They look hard as nails mate
