I'am building a 1970 Kombi with the CSP wide 5 diskbrake setup:

Further I gave it 1 spline in the back and have a front axle that is adjustable to get it in line with the back.

I think the standard 185R14 tyres will give it to much of a ballon sight.

Do any of you have examples(pics) of stock 14" rims with a slightly lowered van and know the tyresize that has been put on?

I am thinking of 175/80-14 so the side wall will be slightly lower.

185R14 Overall Diameter: 651.51 mm Sidewall Height: 147.82 mm Radius: 325.62 mm Actual Speed: 100 km/h
175/80R14 Overall Diameter: 635.50 mm Sidewall Height: 139.95 mm Radius: 317.75 mm Speedometer1: 102. km/h
185/70R14 Overall Diameter: 614.42 mm Sidewall Height: 129.28 mm Radius: 307.08 mm Speedometer1: 106. km/h
195/65R15 Overall Diameter: 634.49 mm Sidewall Height: 126.74 mm Radius: 317.24 mm Speedometer1: 102. km/h (I like the stance on a van with these tyres, I know thisis 15")

and no tyres rubbing at the front?

Here is mine...it is lowered one spline at the rear and levelled at the front on beam adjusters. Tyre sizes are 185 R14 C (Commercial Tyres) 80 profile.
