After searching around the UK suppliers with no luck for a flat 4 polished fuch, (I only wanted 1 as a spare for the 4 I have on the van)I decided to purchase one fron CIP1 in America, with postage it turned out the same value as the uk suppliers, so on Saturday I ordered one. Bloody hell I,ve had parts from them before but not this quick, it,s just come through the door @ 13.00 hrs from ordering on Saturday afternoon
Well chuffed,

i ordered £1300 worth of stuff, with a full set of sprint stars on Monday, it arrived Wednesday afternoon. i dont know how they get it accross so fast  .

I know it appears the same price as buying from over here but you will get a further bill from customs for the taxes on the goods at a later date.

If its FedEx they will have taxed you on the total amount, which includes shipping, so challenge that as it isnt taxable, and challenge the 'admin' fee as well.

yep, Im aware of that as I,ve bought from them before, but whats the problem with UK suppliers & flat4 fuch? they,ve all got them on their web sites, you phone up & they hav,nt got them in & no hope for the future.
Prices here are £140 to £170 each but from CIP1 they are $179 which is roughly 90 odd quid

Total invoice is $312.40 incl p&p but on the paper work it says customs value $179.95, I,ll be ready when the tax form comes through

Get this - I bought my FLat4s from and had them detailed by Alex Magro in Florida and sent to me here in Cork,
even with tax and duty it all cost less then getting a standard set off the shelf from UK.

CIP1 are super fast, I can't get anything posted from UK anywhere near as quick or cheap.

Hi Johnny - what sprintstars did you get? When I looked they only had MWS in stock and not flat4. Do they look cool?

The MWS sprint look awesome, absolutely perfect no blemishes but i would put another layer or 2 of laquer on them as mine bloomed after a hard winter and salt, if you look after them they would be ok, but Brit winters will be hard on them for sure..

Cip1 told me the MWS sprints are better quality than the flatfour so i went for them instead... here thay are on my bug

Johnny - those wheels look mint...I'm gonna have to treat myself soon. When you say laquer - does that stop the water and **** getting in?

It will help but i would ask an expert wheel restorer whats the best way to protect new wheels that are laquered, as if i had to do it again i would have put a few layers of clear laquer on it.

The salt eats under the laquer and attacks the wheels and always wash em after every drive.

I used some 'nano spray thingy' that puts a barrier layer on top but they still 'bloomed' :( .
