I'm having problems undoing the joint between the flexi hose and rigid pipe on brakes.

I have dowsed in WD40, left overnight, redowsed etc.

I don't really want to replace the rigid pipe so don't want to damage it.

I guess there is no option but to apply heat - I have an electric heatgun - would I be wasting my time with that.

Are there any special precautions needed regarding heat and brake fluid ?

Thanks in advance for any tips

...to any anyone who reads this with similar problem - the heat gun didn't help - in the end found 2 joints that weren't so tight
(so removed a longer section than really needed/wanted to) and with the section out could use a vice and get a ring spanner over
the rigid pipe end and it came apart OK...

Wd40 is not a lubricant, it's a water displacer -that's what the wd stands for! You need to use something like plusgas for seized things, but to be honest I tend just to cut the metal pipes and replace as it's usually past time they were replaced anyway.
