US bay, brake test button on dash, what's it mean?

Lights up when I push it but I'm blowed if I know what its telling me. Anyone?

That's just to test the bulb AFAIK - it'll tell you when one circuit (or both :shock: ) of your brakes are f##ked.

Hiya fred,

Yeah, Joval's got it right. Push the button and it should light up. It's simply a bulb test. Quite a few folk think that pushing in the button tests the brake system. Not so..............just the bulb.

However, if this button/light does light up on its own (without you pushing it) then you'd best examine your braking system (specifically the switches on the master cylinder) poste haste.
