A bloke who indirectly works for me also moonlights as a security guard at the 3 Counties Showground and is pretty much one of the main guys ..... hes a right big Irish fecker

Hes 'on' at Vanfest so will help us keep the area clear of interlopers, should the need arise. Ill have his number ;)

Like the nice friendly approach Clem. Why not bring the razor wire and surround your "CLUB" area, then post a secret pass word on here for the select few.
Its a big show and your going to have people camped next to your plot in dare i say it  other VWs.
I would have liked to camp on the EB club site but i like meeting and camping with friends at Vanfest and the "EB Only" camping is abit OTT for me. Ill slum it with the SSVC, they let anyone in (and they are accused of being elitist  )

Can you put my name down on the list to visit your pitch as id like to come and say hello.

"If your names not down you cant come in"

Just wondered if anyone else will have children with them? :? , all being well my 9yr old son will be with me for the weekend. He is well into the whole VW thing and really looking forward to it. :D I realise some folk will not be over the moon at the thought of youngsters attending, but my lad at least is a good one. Not some whiney, annoying little creature, he knows early from late, oval from split, low light from razor edge etc. And yes, I am rather biased.Oh, and I've just worked out how to use the smilies (don't do pooters) so gonna OD on them now!  :? :) :D   :wink:Also need to change my signature after seeing other busses.Worked hard, spent cash, but it ain't as low as it could be.....

:?

We have non Early Bays all ready booked in on the patch, as was the case from the off .... I wanted you and your mates with us back then, as we spoke about .....
All I want is to ensure that those who are expecting a pitch in the main area to be able to have one .... Ive heard tales of pitch invasions in the past, thats all.

Apologies to anyone that may have taken this and felt unwelcome or excluded, it certainly wasnt the intention at all.

My daughter (6) will be along Saturday PM onwards, so Friday night is 'my' night and then some serious swapmeeting on Sat, AM before she arrives and I get diverted by the fun fair etc etc :D

Anyone been able to access the Vanfest.org website in the last couple of days? Know it's a bit late, but wanted to check site plan, food vendors etc. Have not been able to get on site, don't think it's pilot error this time.... :?

I can answer this one for you

The food will be expensive and crap.................it always is at Malvern, they have the same catering for every event (in house). Also dont run out of beer! I did one year and on a walk about ended paying £12 for 4 tins of ****** fosters.

He speaks the truth! :)

The food vendors are mostly all situated in front of the Severn (?) Hall and sell most stuff, and there is also a small shop thing for papers, bread and milk ..... but, its way better to be as self sufficient as possible.

(Bottles of Carling were £2 for 4 last week in Tescos here :) )

Thanks for that folks, be prepared and all that. Fresh milk is a bonus. Apart from beer, my main concern is to cater for my boy, so now I know to bring stuff. What is it with events on any calendar anywhere, the food is usualy crap and expensive? That said, VW festival near Leeds, there did seem to be a bit of variety(thai at least) but still glad to have taken a picnic. Could see envy on peoples faces as we ate. Fresh brewed cuppa probably threw the balance. Its not hard is it?!!!!
